If you can’t tell, I’ve had this (mani+)pedi for a little while already, I usually have them on for about a week. Anyhow, I woke up thinking I wanted cherries. I don’t remember where I saw them but I figured they’d be simple.
The green color is one of those “nail pen” brushes so I used the same brush for the brown to get a nice stem. I used the tip if the regular brush for the cherries since it’s round anyway. You’ll have to play around if you want a bigger cherry. Or how ever you can get a nice looking circular shape is good, what ever’s comfortable for you.
The “shine” of the cherry was interesting; I painted the nail using a white base so while the red was still a bit wet, I figured I could just carve or indent (for lack of better words) the shine so the white would just peek through. It didn’t really work but the mini indent served as a nice guide to also use the nail pen brush to apply a bit of the white.
I was really happy with the result, it also didn’t take as long as I’d anticipated. Same design was applied onto my fingernails (cherries on ring and thumb fingers) but the reason I photographed my toes is because they turned out looking better than my fingers. That may just be my fault, I love my feet almost too much.
