Valentines mani+pedi!!!

Aren’t they darling?! My mani looked different last week but I wasn’t happy with the finished result so I changed it completely and this is what I came up with. My toes are the same, I really like how the LOVE came out. I used tape for the white line on my fingers and a tooth pick to write the word and create the hearts. The girl who took my order at Coffee Bean today gave me a nice compliment, I’m really proud of these.

Base color: O.P.I - Give Me The Moon!
Lines/lettering: Orly - White Tips
Pink hearts: O.P.I - Shorts Story
Red heart: O.P.I - Crimson Carol

So I finally got around to buying nail polish remover. And since I got the job at Whole Foods, I asked the guy there if they had any in Whole Body. I got myself this nice little bottle for eight freaking dollars! But it’s okay because I gots my 20% discount.
Ingredients: Fruit acid solvent (Methyl-Pentan-2 One, Multi-Fruit Acids). Amber Acid (derived from plant linchens); Deionized water, Vitamin A, Natural Vanilla Fragrance.
Cruelty Free (what’s that mean for acetone? =/)

I haven’t uploaded in a while, I’ve had some shit going on. Not good. My nails haven’t been neglected, however, just neglected of my creativity. Couldn’t let that go for Halloween, unacceptable!
I like these because they look like the stereotypical Frankenstein, I got creative and used clear tape as my stencil. *Make sure your nails are completely dry and take a bit of the stickiness off of the tape by sticking it on and off your finger, that way the polish doesn’t come off when you peel the tape back*. Super simple, super festive

I need more polish BAD!

lololoveee: so cute<3

Thanks! <3

As difficult as it was to pick an outfit for this weekend, the manicure was a bit easier. Another color by O.P.I, FANTASTIC to say the least..
This mani started off being a slanted, marble french tip but I didn’t really like the way it looked in the end. So I simplified it and I was very pleased with the final result. Subtle but with the bright green and silver, definitely made it pop. =)

Does anyone else have a terrible and utterly unbearable relationship with their mother-in-law? Just saying… if we have motherhood and the love of manis and pedis in common, perhaps we share this misfortune also…
…ANYWAY…
As upset as I am for leaving my boyfriend and for him not to see me and his baby, there is never an excuse for bad nails. This week, I used the new polishes that he bought for me and, I must say, I love this coral color! And if you can’t see it, there’s shimmery glitter on the edges of the designs. The designs are different on each nail including the one not photographed. Hey, if I have to get inspiration to get original creativity going, everyone has to as well. Besides, something that’s truly yours is always better than something merely copied. <3

*i can’t wait to be able to do this with my daughter :)

When I started my blog, I swore I wouldn’t reblog. But jeez, it’s only in my title. Except… I have a boy and not a girl. I’m still fighting my boyfriend on letting me dress our son up as LADY GAGA for Halloween.
P.S. To continue with the parenting theme, it’s my dad’s errr 29th birthday today. Haha HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPI!

If you can’t tell, I’ve had this (mani+)pedi for a little while already, I usually have them on for about a week. Anyhow, I woke up thinking I wanted cherries. I don’t remember where I saw them but I figured they’d be simple.
The green color is one of those “nail pen” brushes so I used the same brush for the brown to get a nice stem. I used the tip if the regular brush for the cherries since it’s round anyway. You’ll have to play around if you want a bigger cherry. Or how ever you can get a nice looking circular shape is good, what ever’s comfortable for you.
The “shine” of the cherry was interesting; I painted the nail using a white base so while the red was still a bit wet, I figured I could just carve or indent (for lack of better words) the shine so the white would just peek through. It didn’t really work but the mini indent served as a nice guide to also use the nail pen brush to apply a bit of the white.
I was really happy with the result, it also didn’t take as long as I’d anticipated. Same design was applied onto my fingernails (cherries on ring and thumb fingers) but the reason I photographed my toes is because they turned out looking better than my fingers. That may just be my fault, I love my feet almost too much.
